There are many fun and enriching events happening in and around the Inn at Valley Farms to entertain and engage you during your stay. From civic events like concerts and plays, to parades and art shows there is almost always something to do in Walpole and the surrounding areas.

Outdoor Farmers' Markets in this region run May through October and are held rain or shine. The following are all less than a 30-minute drive from the inn:

Bellows Falls, VT: Every Friday afternoon 4-7pm. Waypoint Center, Bellows Falls, VT.

Keene Winter Farmers Market



Come to the Keene Farmer's Market at Stonewall Farm March 20th, and April 17th. Enjoy veggies, beef, pork, eggs, mustards, jams, jellies, granola, alpaca and wool fiber and products, and locally made jewelry. 12-4pm at the Learning Center. 242 Chesterfield Road. Keene, NH

Coffeehouse on the Common



The church transforms its first floor into a nightspot with low lights, stage, sound system, and table seating. Talented local musicians provide a variety of entertainment. Hot beverages and homemade goodies are prepared and served by volunteers.The night will feature anchor performers, Ken and Julie Olsson. The Olssons are professional vocal and keyboard artists, singing and playing jazz, standards and Broadway tunes together and individually. Joining them will be other accomplished local musicians.  The Coffeehouse on the Common welcomes the entire community to an inexpensive, wholesome and enjoyable night out with neighbors, friends and family. Doors open at 6 pm. A $5.00 donation is suggested and the building is wheelchair accessible. From 6 to 9 pm. at the First Congregational Church of Walpole - on the common in downtown Walpole.


 

Annual Sap Gathering Contest



This event is a Farm staff favorite! Teams of horses and their drivers come from all over New England to race through our forested trails collecting sap and delivering it to the sugarhouse. The grace and beauty of the horse teams, the sweet smell of boiling sap, the tantalizing taste of fresh syrup and the first warmth of spring make this an event you won't want to miss! Admission $5 per person, children under 6 free. Free to Stonewall Farm members. 10am-4pm
