Welcome to the Inn at Valley Farms, Bed and Breakfast and Cottages, Walpole, New Hampshire

Visiting
Our Century Old 3-Story Barn
"Beautiful home and countryside - excellent food and friendly hospitality. Thanks!" CM & JM

As our guests, we encourage you to stroll through our organic flower and vegetable gardens sampling seasonal favorites or for the more adventurous to explore our own 105 acres of rolling farmland and woods. There are several diverse habitats on the farm attracting numerous wild bird, plant and animal species including, wild turkeys, pheasant, Dutchman's Breeches, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, fox, deer, raccoon, Trout Lilies, Trilliums, nesting kestrels and killdeer, red tail hawks and more. Use the many field guides from our library to identify what you find and expand your knowledge of the natural world around you.

Follow the centuries old road through the property and kick up leaves in the maple grove as you ponder who made the miles of stone walls which traverse the area.

Walk to Alyson's 500+ acre Apple Orchard to pick fresh fruits, berries and flowers in season.

Enjoy our winter wonderland by cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling or plain old-fashioned sledding after a new fallen snow.

Take time to gaze upward at night in any season and see a show beyond compare - a cloudless sky lit up by nothing but natural phenomenon.

Families: There's a large grassy area outside the cottages where your children can run and/or play safely in our great sandbox or on our swingset/junglegym. There's a picnic table and grills for your use as well.

Our neighbors, a 9th generation family-owned farm, welcome our guests to watch their milking operation each afternoon.

Want some time alone? We'll gladly help you secure a competent babysitter (one we'd trust our own kids with) to watch your children while you enjoy a romantic dinner or just a peaceful hike. Just let us know, advance notice is helpful.
