Sugaring Season at the Inn

It's sugaring season in New England and here at the Inn at Valley Farms, we're surrounded by maple trees and farms that make maple syrup from the sweet sap that starts flowing when the temps are just right. Our neighbors, the McGill family have been tapping the trees on our farm for decades and their lovingly made maple syrup is what you'll find on the breakfast table during your stay.

If you' haven't had the opportunity to see how maple syrup is made, you can visit our neighbors just up the road when they're boiling. When you see the hard work and dedication that goes into each gallon of this liquid gold, the price makes so much more sense...it's a lot of work! Did you know that it takes 40 or more gallons of sap to make just 1 gallon of maple syrup?

March is New Hampshire Maple Month and NH Maple Weekend is coming up from the 19th-21st. During the weekend, sugarhouses all over the state of New Hampshire will open their doors to the public for tours, tastings, and sales of their maple products. We're still offering 15% off our winter rates that are already lower, so book a stay during NH Maple Weekend and enjoy all that Walpole and the surrounding area has to offer! We're even creating a maple-inspired specials menu at our farm to table restaurant which is not to be missed!
